Clear Connection

I have looked deep into your eyes,
Seeing shards of clearest crystal studding the Blue of Jays,
Adjusted into constellations,
Looking equally deep into the mossy-brown of mine,
Examining the splatter of green on milky chocolate,
Yours taking in their beauty as mine bathe in your gaze.
Our eyes connect for what seems an eternity forced into moments.
You look at me, in a different way, not to see what I wear
But to evaluate my want.
I want you. I want you to hold me.
I want you to be my crying shoulder.
I want you to want me. I peer into your eyes, to pierce the wall,
To decipher your gaze.
I try my best, but can't decipher your stare.
We lock eyes often, and each time I try to find a clue,
A nick in the wall where I can get through.
There it is! My chance at entry!
I see it. The longer our eyes are locked,
The wider it splits open, and the more I see.
It stops revealing the hidden wonders, your feelings,
Leaving me with a glint of hope,
The taste of your want for me.
I want more.
I want you.
